W&L Golf Wins ODAC Championship The Washington and Lee golf team claimed its 10th Old Dominion Athletic Conference Championship and its first since 1999 after shooting a 313 in the final round on Monday at the Poplar Grove Golf Club in Amherst, Va.

W&L's Webb Qualifies for Track and Field NCAA's The Washington and Lee outdoor track and field teams had one individual competing against primarily Division I athletes in the Duke Twilight on Sunday evening in Durham, N.C.

W&L's Madden Selected to Academic All-District Team Washington and Lee senior outfielder James Madden (Dallas, Texas/Highland Park) has been named to the CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine College Division Academic All-District III Baseball Second Team, which was released Thursday.

Generals Place 12 Swimmers on All-Bluegrass Mountain Team Washington and Lee recently had 12 men's swimmers named First Team All-Bluegrass Mountain Conference (BMC), following their performances at the 2008 Championship Meet. Additionally, senior Alex Sweet (Louisville, Ky./Kentucky Country Day) was named the BMC Swimmer of the Year.

W&L Baseball Nabs Four All-ODAC Selections The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) announced its baseball all-conference awards on Wednesday and Washington and Lee had two players receive first-team honors, one player earn second-team accolades and one player was named to the honorable mention squad. Additionally, senior rightfielder James Madden (Dallas, Texas/Highland Park) was named the ODAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year for baseball.
