Around the World by Private Jet

An Exploration of Legendary Places

February 26 - March 21, 2009

Machu PicchuMany tours boast of being a once-in-a-lifetime travel adventure. None, however, can make better claim than this enlightening and luxurious around-the-world expedition, a private jet journey to 12 of the world’s most treasured cultures and natural wonders. Travelers on this extraordinary odyssey will gain a rare insight into the world’s astonishing diversity, traveling on a specially outfitted private jet to the Earth’s distant horizons, including Peru, Easter Island, Samoa, the Great Barrier Reef, Angkor Wat, Tibet, the Taj Mahal,Tanzania, Egypt, and Morocco—all of these places with the very best in accommodations and personal attention throughout.

In the high Andes, we'll climb the terraced steps of fabled Machu Picchu, then, on Easter Island, ponder the mysterious gaze of the moai, the immense stone figures that seem to know worlds of their own. Further into the Pacific, we’ll enjoy the lush tropical island of Samoa for its unspoiled natural beauty and then explore the underwater splendor of Australia’s Great Barrier Reef. In Cambodia, we’ll watch the sun rise through Angkor Wat’s astoundingly beautiful temples and, later in Tibet, wonder at the magnificent views of the Himalaya from Lhasa’s Potala Palace. In India, the Taj Mahal, arguably mankind’s most beautiful creation, will fill us with quiet rapture. Amidst the breathtaking beauty of the Serengeti, we’ll revel in Africa’s greatest concentration of wildlife and then gaze on the Sphinx, timeless in its serenity before the ancient Pyramids of Egypt. Finally, in Marrakech, we’ll end our journey with a sumptuous farewell gala in a traditional Moroccan tent in the Sahara Desert.

For 23 days, we’ll travel in the convenience, safety, and comfort of a private jet—a Boeing 757 reconfigured for 88 travelers in VIP-style seating. As we are whisked from one destination to the next, we’ll travel with a world-class team of experts, a professional expedition staff, a physician, and a gourmet chef. Our 2007 and 2008 departures filled quickly, so, by popular demand, we’re pleased to reprise W&L’s ultimate Grand Tour in 2009.
