  • Tuition Discount - Stuart Hall
    Stuart Hall School (a kindergarten through 12th grade college-preparatory program with campuses in Staunton and Verona) currently offers a 50% tuition discount program to the children of full-time Washington and Lee employees who enroll at Stuart Hall. Morning and afternoon transportation plans are available from the Lexington area.
  • Overtime Policy for Non-Expempt Employees
    4/11/08: Changes to the University's policy on overtime and compensatory (comp) time.
  • Health Insurance Subsidy
    4/2/08: The University instituted a policy on July 1, 2006 that eligible full-time employees will contribute no more than 10% of their gross family income for health insurance premiums.
  • Amy Diamond Barnes, Executive Director of Human Resources begins April 1
    Barnes joins W&L from Colgate University, Hamilton, N.Y., where she has served as the associate vice president for human resources for the past 14 years. Before that, she was the director of human resources at New England College for five years. She has spent her entire career in academic human resources, also working at Franklin Pierce College, Vassar College, Barnard College and George Washington University Medical Center.
  • Kim Austin Earns Professional Certification
    Kim Austin, Human Resources Specialist, recently earned certification as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR).
  • We've Moved!
    We have reopened in our new location in Early Fielding 8:30 a.m. (Enter main entrance from Lee Avenue.)
  • 2008 Holiday Schedule
    The University is pleased to announce the 2008 Schedule of Holidays. The holidays in 2008 fall in such a way that an additional holiday has been granted for calendar year 2008.
