Students Win Southern Anthropological Society Student Paper Competition

Chun-Yi Sum ('08) won first place in the Southern Anthropological Society's Student Paper Competition (April 2008) with her paper entitled “Brewing a Chinese Nation: Nation Building in a Chinese Café in Chicago Chinatown.” The SAS will post a copy of her paper on its website at http://www.southernanthro.org.

Emily Coyle ('10) was awarded second place with her paper entitled “Towards More Intelligent Play: Barbie in a Multi-Ethnic Society.” The SAS will post a copy of her paper on its website as well.
