Washington and Lee University
The bracket for the 2008 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Team Championships were announced Monday and Washington and Lee received a first-round bye.
The Generals (24-0) won their sixth-straight ODAC championship last weekend and received the conference's automatic bid. The squad will begin its title defense against the winner of the Hunter (17-0)/Wilkes (17-2) match on Saturday at Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh, Pa.
Other teams included in the opening round of play at Carnegie Mellon include the host Tartans (12-6) and Ithaca (13-5).
The final rounds of the 2008 NCAA National Championships will be hosted by Gustavus Adolphus College in Saint Peter, Minn., on May 13-18.
