
HOLLINS, Va. -- All of the competitors Washington and Lee women's tennis team went undefeated in the first day of the ODAC Individual Tournament hosted by Hollins University on Saturday.
In singles action, sophomore Lauren Caire (Nashville, Tenn./Harpeth Hall) advanced to the semifinals of the No. 1 singles flight, while senior Kelly Will (Holly Springs, N.C./Cary Academy) moved on to the semifinals of the No. 2 singles flight. Senior Leah Weston (Colorado Springs, Colo./Air Academy) at No. 3 singles and freshman Virginia Dickinson (Memphis, Tenn./St. Mary's Episcopal) at No. 4 singles also advanced to their respective semifinal rounds.
Additionally, seniors Rhodes Proctor (Raleigh, N.C./St. Mary's School) (No. 5 singles) and Katie Duncan (Baltimore, Md./Roland Park Country School) (No. 6 singles), sophomore Katie Harris (Richmond, Va./St. Catherine's) (No. 7 singles) and freshman Caroline Bouvay (No. 8 singles) advanced to the finals of their flights.
In doubles play, the team of Will and Caire advanced to the semifinals of the No. 1 doubles flight, while the duo of Weston and Dickinson moved on to the semifinals of the No. 2 doubles bracket. Duncan and Proctor (No. 3 doubles) and the tandem of Bouvay and Harris (No. 4 doubles) each won their matches to continue on to the finals of their doubles flights.
The ODAC Individual Tournament will continue on Sunday at 8:00 am.
