Alston Parker Watt Field

About the Facility

Alston Parket Watt Field or "Watt Field" is among the newest athletic facilities at Washington and Lee.

The field, which is utilized by the men's and women's soccer and women's lacrosse teams, was designed by Clough, Harbour & Associates and completed in 2003 at a cost a $1.50 million.

The field features elevated bleacher seating for 1,000 spectators, a state-of-the-art press box and sound system, and a removable netting system at the ends of the soccer field behind the goals.

The field surface consists of bluegrass natural athletic turf which is underlaid by sand-based drainage and an irrigation pump. The surface is surrounded by vinyl white fencing, which provides a stadium atmosphere. Also completed as part of the project were several adjacent practice fields and a 1000-square foot concessions and restroom facility.
