W&L Men's Swimming Concludes Competition at Emory Invitational



ATLANTA, Ga. -- The Washington and Lee men’s swimming team wrapped up the two-day Emory Invitational on Sunday.

Senior Paul Crook (Nashville, Tenn./Montgomery Bell) provided the highest individual finish for the Generals, as he came in third in the 100 free with a time of 48.56. Junior Nick Talluri (Mount Airy, N.C./Mount Airy) finished sixth in the 100 free with time of 48.96.

First-year Chris Washnock (Greer, S.C./Greenville) captured a top-10 finish in the 200 back with a 1:58.97, good for ninth place. Junior Ian Childers (Ona, W. Va./Greater Latrobe) captured eighth in the 200 breast with a time of 2:17.77.

Washington and Lee returns to action on Saturday with a tri-meet with Franklin & Marshall, Carnegie Mellon and Rochester hosted by F&M. The meet is set to get underway at 11:00 am.
