Headquarters for the Washington and Lee aquatics program is the Cy Twombly Memorial Pool, located in the Warner Center.
The Twombly Pool, overlooked by a 500-seat gallery, measures 25 yards in length and features six regulation lanes and a computerized electronic timing system with a six-lane scoreboard system.
W&L swimmers enjoy a comfortable locker room just off the pool deck that includes a television, video analysis equipment and a lounge area.
The pool's first competition was the 1972 NCAA Men's College Division Swimming & Diving Championships. The pool also served as the site for the 1982 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships. In the past, the facility has served as host to the Atlantic States Swimming Championships, as well as the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Swimming Championships.
