Washington and Lee University
Washington and Lee is fortunate to count among its supporters a dedicated group of current and past parents and grandparents. In the last five years, parents and grandparents have contributed over $2 million dollars to the Parents Fund. The Parents Fund enhances every aspect of academic and student life, including academic programs, faculty resources, athletics, student services, student government, and technology and library resources. Strong parent and grandparent participation in the Parents Fund is attractive to foundations and corporations considering grants to the University, and U.S. News and World Report uses participation in the Annual Fund/Parents Fund as a criterion to determine ranking.
Last year (2006-07) was a banner year for the Parents Fund. Parents and grandparents contributed $908,661. Almost half of current undergraduate parents contributed.
The Parents Fund runs from July 1 to June 30. All gifts received by June 30th count towards the 2007-2008 Parents Fund.
