Supporting Students
In addition to scholarships, W&L seeks to support students in activities that enrich their education, such as research projects, internships and studying abroad. W&L also seeks to support Law students entering careers in public assistance law through a special loan repayment program.

R.E. Lee Research Scholars Funds

Supporting Research Opportunities for Students
These scholarships provide summer support to students engaged in faculty-mentored learning through reasearch projects. With the assistance of faculty the students often publish their findings. These scholarships foster the student-faculty relationships on which W&L prides itself.

Internships

Supporting Student Internship Experiences
Many of the best internship programs available to W&L students offer little or no compensation and do not provide living expenses. Yet these experiences are priceless, and are part of the way W&L students choose to broaden and deepen their liberal arts education. Although interest in internship programs associated with W&L's departments or programs has grown significantly in the last decade, many deserving students find these opportunities cost prohibitive. Named internship endowments are a way that donors can help W&L students take advantage of these learning opportunities.

Study Abroad Funds

Supporting Students to Study Abroad
These funds help support students who need financial assistance to study abroad. Study abroad programs contribute to the education of global citizens and prepare tstudents for leadership roles in a diverse environment.

Loan Repayment Assistance Program

Supporting W&L Law Graduates in Public Interest Law
The Loan Repayment Assistance Program is a valuable program to help cover the debt of graduating law students that enter public interest professions serving indigent and underserved populations. In effect a post graduation scholarship, the Loan Repayment Assistance Program is a way for the Law School to have a significant impact in social justice.
