W&L Track and Field in Action at Bridgewater Last Chance Meet

BRIDGEWATER, Va. -- The Washington and Lee men's and women's outdoor track and field teams had three individuals competing at the Bridgewater last chance meet on Wednesday afternoon.

On the women's side, senior Elizabeth Webb (Middleburg, Va./Wakefield) competed in the 1,500 meters and crossed the finish line in 4:44.62 for a first place finish, while senior Stacy Doornbos (Roswell, Ga./Lassiter) leaped 5.25 meters in the long jump for a third place mark and cleared 1.53 meters in the high jump for a fourth place nod.

Senior Vance Berry (Porta Vedra, Fla./Episcopal) represented the men's side and placed first in the 5,000 meters in a time of 15:45.13.

The Generals have now wrapped up regular-season competition. Doornbos will compete in the heptathlon at NCAA's on May 21-23 in Marietta, Ohio.
