W&L Riding Competes at Annual Virginia Intermont Classic Collegiate Cup

LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee Riding team was in action at the 10th Annual Virginia Intermont Classic Collegiate Cup on Saturday evening at the Virginia Horse Center in Lexington, Va.

The white team of senior Kate Corr (Shrewsbury, N.J./Red Bank Regional), sophomore Allison Lemon (Roanoke, Va./North Cross School) and first-year Tamara Morse (Bristow, Va./Brentsville District Mid-Senior) finished second out of 13 teams, while the blue team of senior Sarah Bujtas (Mount Tabor, N.J./Parsippany Hills), junior Emily Coyle (Seattle, Wash./Lakeside) and first-year Catherine Skitsko (Jacksonville, Fla./The Bolles School) placed sixth out of 13 squads.  

Individually, Lemon paced the Generals' white team with a first-place mark in the intermediate flat, while Corr recorded a second-place finish in the novice fences.  Morse also finished third in the open flat.  

Washington and Lee returns to action on Fri. Apr., 10 at the ODAC Championships at Hollins University in Hollins, Va.
