
Washington and Lee had two athletes garner the ODAC Player of the Week award in their respective sports. Senior Katie Tabb (Minneapolis, Minn./Edina) and junior Will Keigler (Timonium, Md./Gilman) were honored for women’s tennis and men’s lacrosse, respectively.
Tabb led the Generals to a 9-0 sweep of Virginia Wesleyan on Saturday as she won at No.1 singles 6-4, 6-3 and teamed with first-year Ann Morris (Lexington, Ky./Lexington Catholic) for an 8-2 win at No. 1 doubles. On the season, Tabb holds a 10-2 singles mark and 12-2 record in doubles matches.
Keigler helped lead the Generals to a 2-0 week by notching seven goals and three assists over the two games. He posted two goals and three assists in an 18-3 victory over DeSales on Wednesday, then notched a career-high five goals in a 9-3 win over sixth-ranked Washington College on Saturday. For the season, Keigler leads W&L in scoring with 13 points on nine goals and four assists.
The women’s tennis team returns to the court on Wednesday with an 4:00 pm match at Lynchburg, while the men’s lacrosse team hosts the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy on Wednesday at 5:00 pm.
