Brian Laubscher is in his 11th year as the sports information director at Washington and Lee.
Laubscher serves as the chairperson of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Sports Information Directors and was selected the conference's Sports Information Director of the Year for the 2005-06 school year. He serves on the University's Hall of Fame and Athletic Committees and is the coordinator of the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) College Division All-State Football Team.
Laubscher has worked numerous conference and NCAA Tournament events, including serving as the lead statistician for the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl since 1998. He also served as the media coordinator for the 2005 NCAA Division III Field Hockey Championships hosted by W&L and has assisted with the 2007 NCAA Division II Women's Lacrosse Championship, the 2008 NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Championship, the 1996 NCAA Dvision I Men's Soccer Final Four and the 1996 NCAA Division II Men's Basketball East Regional.
A 1995 graduate of Slippery Rock University with a bachelor of science in sport management, Laubscher served as a graduate assistant at California University of Pennsylvania and was an intern with the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference, James Madison University and Lafayette College before arriving at W&L.
Laubscher is a member of the Virginia Sports Information Directors Association (VASID) and the College Sports Information Directors Association, where he serves on the postgraduate scholarship committee.
