Rachel Barr is in her second season as a member of the Washington and Lee women's lacrosse coaching staff. Her first season resulted in the Generals posting a 15-4 overall record, winning the ODAC title and advancing to the NCAA Tournament.
Barr came to W&L after graduating from Williams College in 2006. At Williams, she was a four-year letterwinner and captain in both lacrosse and ice hockey.
During her lacrosse career, she was honored as a 2006 First Team All-American, a Second Team All-American in 2005 and was a two-time first team all-conference selection. As a senior, she was named the team's MVP.
Barr also had a standout career in the rink, earning second team all-conference honors and the team MVP award in 2006.
Prior to graduating in 2006, she worked in the Eph's athletic department as a work study for four years. She has also worked at numerous camps, including the Elite Hockey Camp and the Nike Lacrosse Camp at Williston North Hampton School.
A two-time scholar-athlete at Williams, Barr holds a bachelor's degree in art history and studio art.
