Mike Piranian is in his fourth season as an assistant men's soccer coach at Washington and Lee.  The son of Head Coach Rolf Piranian, Mike has helped the Generals to a 27-16-7 overall record and three ODAC Tournament berths through his first three seasons.

Piranian was a four-year member of the Virginia Tech men's soccer team and holds a USSF "E" coaching license.

He began his coaching regime as a coach/counselor at the Tidewater, Generals and Davidson soccer camps for several summers. In 2001, he was the New River United Soccer Association under-13 soccer coach and a junior varsity and varsity assistant coach at Christiansburg High School.

A native of Lexington, Va., Piranian has also worked as a set director and assistant land sport director at a Club Med in Port St. Lucie, Fla.

Piranian earned his bachelor of science degree in housing, interior design, and resource management from Virginia Tech in 2002.
