JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. -- The Washington and Lee golf team finished in ninth place out of 26 teams at the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational held in Jekyll Island, Ga.
The Generals finished with a 300-301-312--913 and Methodist claimed the team title with a three-day score of 871. The Top 10 also included Huntingdon (886), Oglethorpe (899), Illinois Wesleyan (901), LaGrange (906), Emory (909), St. John Fisher (909), Centre (910), W&L (913) and Hampden-Sydney (919).
Individually, senior Nathaniel James (Keller, Texas/Keller) finished in third place with a score of 70-71-76--217.
The Generals return to action on Friday as they participate in the three-day Marine Federal Credit Union Intercollegiate held in Camp Lejeune, N.C.
