
ALLENTOWN, Pa. -- The Washington and Lee women's cross country team finished second out of 23 teams at the Desales Invitational on Saturday morning in Allentown, Pa.
The Generals were paced by sophomore Katherine Telfeyan (Chesapeake, Va./Great Bridge), who completed the course in 24:23 to finish in fifth out of 203 runners, while junior Rebecca Taylor (Hamilton, Ohio/Edgewood) crossed the tape in 24:31 to finish seventh overall.
Also finishing among W&L's top harriers were sophomore Dorothy Todd (Watkinsville, Ga./Athens Academy) with an 18th-place finish in 25:16 and junior Elizabeth Webb (Middleburg, Va./Wakefield School) with a 22nd-place finish in 25:16. Freshman Christine Balisterri (Mequon, Wisc./Homestead) finished 24th with a time of 25:18.
The women return to action on Sat., Oct. 27 at the ODAC Championships. The championship meet will take place in Lexington, Va., and the women's race is set to start at 11:00 am.
