The Washington and Lee women's basketball program experienced the best season in its 14-year history during the 2006-07 season as the Generals set a new record for victories in a season by going 16-11 overall.  W&L advanced to the ODAC Tournament Semifinals and knocked off a ranked team for the first time in program history.  In just 14 seasons of play, W&L can already lay claim to seven 1,000-point scorers, including senior forward Kristen Krouchick, who accomplished the feat last season.

• Woods' Free Throw Lifts E&H over W&L Women's Hoops, 82-81, in Overtime
  Freshman forward Tuesdee Woods hit the second of two free throw attempts with 0.5 seconds remaining in overtime to lift Emory & Henry to an 82-81 victory over Washington and Lee in ODAC women’s basketball action on Friday evening at the King Center.
• W&L Women's Basketball Cruises to 73-37 Win Over Hollins
  Washington and Lee senior guard Emily Wolff (Allison Park, Pa./Hampton) tied a season-high with 15 points and added eight boards as the Generals posted a 73-37 win over Hollins in ODAC women’s basketball action on Tuesday evening at the Warner Center.

Athletics Headlines

• 4/22/2008:  A Total Of 178 W&L Students Earn Scholar-Athlete Awards
  Washington and Lee Director of Athletics Jan Hathorn has announced that 178 students earned Scholar-Athlete awards during the recently completed winter term. The students are all members of W&L athletic teams and achieved a grade-point average (GPA) of at least 3.500.
• 3/12/2008:  Four Generals Selected to ODAC/USA South All-Star Game
  The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) and the USA South Athletic Conference recently announced the rosters for their Senior Basketball Challenge and the Washington and Lee men's and women's basketball programs each had two players placed on the rosters.
• 2/27/2008:  W&L's Krouchick Earns Honorable Mention All-ODAC Honors
  The Old Dominion Athletic Conference announced its all-conference women's basketball team at the conference tournament banquet held on Wednesday evening at the Salem Civic Center and Washington and Lee junior forward Kristen Krouchick (Holland, Pa./Nazareth Academy) garnered honorable-mention honors.
• 1/31/2008:  W&L Basketball Teams to Support WBCA’s “Think Pink” Initiative
  The Washington and Lee men's and women's basketball programs will join the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and over 700 schools nationally in the organization's "Think Pink" initiative at two upcoming home games.
• 11/8/2007:  W&L Women's Basketball Picked Fifth in ODAC Preseason Poll
  The Old Dominion Athletic Conference announced its 2007-08 Preseason Women's Basketball Coaches Poll on Thursday morning at the league's media day held at the Salem Civic Center.
