W&L Women's Basketball Falls to Bridgewater in ODAC Quarters, 77-65 Fourth-seeded Bridgewater College limited fifth-seeded Washington and Lee to just 33.9 percent (20-59) shooting from the floor and forced 26 turnovers in defeating the Generals, 77-65, in the quarterfinals of the ODAC Tournament held on Thursday afternoon at the Salem Civic Center.

W&L Women's Basketball Topples EMU, 70-44 The Washington and Lee women’s basketball team jumped out to a 21-6 lead in the opening 10:03 of the game and cruised to a 70-44 ODAC victory over Eastern Mennonite on Tuesday evening at the Warner Center.
May 26, 2009: McKelvey, Doornbos Highlight Award Winners at W&L Seniors Terrence McKelvey (East Islip, N.Y./East Islip) and Stacy Doornbos (Roswell, Ga./Lassiter) headed the list of honorees at the annual Washington and Lee University Athletic Awards Ceremony on May 26 at W&L’s Lee Chapel. McKelvey was named the Pres Brown Outstanding Senior Male Athlete, while Doornbos was the female recipient of the award.
April 16, 2009: Numerous W&L Students Earn Scholar-Athlete Awards Washington and Lee Director of Athletics Jan Hathorn has announced that 172 students earned Scholar-Athlete awards during the recently completed winter term. The students are all members of W&L athletic teams and achieved a grade-point average (GPA) of at least 3.500.
March 20, 2009: W&L Participating In National Sportsmanship Day The Institute for International Sport is holding a National Sportsmanship Day and Washington and Lee will participate on Saturday. The Generals will celebrate the day with home events in men's and women's tennis, men's and women's lacrosse and baseball.
Feb. 25, 2009: ODAC Announces All-Conference Women's Basketball Teams The Old Dominion Athletic Conference announced its all-conference women's basketball team at the conference tournament banquet held on Wednesday evening at the Salem Civic Center. Washington and Lee first-year guard Meghan Ingram (Greensboro, N.C./Ragsdale) was named the Rookie of the Year, while first-year forward Rebecca Bolton (Pittsdale, N.C./Chatham Central) was tabbed to the honorable mention squad. Ingram also collected Second Team All-ODAC laurels.
