June 10, 2008: Nathaniel James Named to GCAA All-Nicklaus Team The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) has announced that recent Washington and Lee graduate Nathaniel James (Keller, Texas/Keller) is among 20 honorees for the inaugural All-Nicklaus Team, which recognizes Division I, II, III and NAIA golfers for their outstanding play during the 2007-08 collegiate season.
April 16, 2009: Numerous W&L Students Earn Scholar-Athlete Awards Washington and Lee Director of Athletics Jan Hathorn has announced that 172 students earned Scholar-Athlete awards during the recently completed winter term. The students are all members of W&L athletic teams and achieved a grade-point average (GPA) of at least 3.500.

March 20, 2009: W&L Participating In National Sportsmanship Day The Institute for International Sport is holding a National Sportsmanship Day and Washington and Lee will participate on Saturday. The Generals will celebrate the day with home events in men's and women's tennis, men's and women's lacrosse and baseball.
