Washington and Lee has fielded a varsity men's soccer team since 1947, producing 33 winning seasons, 49 NSCAA All-Region citations and five All-America citations. The Generals have won three Old Dominion Athletic Conference Championships under the direction of Head Coach Rolf Piranian, who won his 250th career game during the 2007 season. Piranian has guided W&L to the ODAC Tournament Semifinals six times in the last seven seasons.

  The fourth-seeded Roanoke Maroons used a goal in each period to post a 2-0 victory over Washington and Lee in the finals of the ODAC Men's Soccer Tournament on Saturday evening at Virginia Wesleyan's Foster Field.
• Men's Soccer Advances to ODAC Finals With 2-1 Win Over Hampden-Sydney in Semis
  Junior defender Fletcher McCraw (Greenville, S.C./Christ Church Episcopal) connected on a penalty kick in the second half to lead Washington and Lee to a 2-1 win over Hampden-Sydney in the semifinals of the 2007 ODAC Men's Soccer Tournament held at Virginia Wesleyan College on Friday afternoon.
• Generals Top Lynchburg, 2-0, in ODAC Men's Soccer Quarterfinals
  The Washington and Lee men’s soccer team used two second-half goals to defeat Lynchburg, 2-0, in the quarterfinals of the 2007 ODAC Tournament on Saturday afternoon at Watt Field.
• W&L Men's Soccer Battles Hampden-Sydney to 1-1 Double Overtime Tie
  Washington and Lee played Hampden-Sydney to a 1-1 double-overtime draw in ODAC men#x2019s soccer action on Tuesday afternoon at Watt Field.

• 4/22/2008:  A Total Of 178 W&L Students Earn Scholar-Athlete Awards
  Washington and Lee Director of Athletics Jan Hathorn has announced that 178 students earned Scholar-Athlete awards during the recently completed winter term. The students are all members of W&L athletic teams and achieved a grade-point average (GPA) of at least 3.500.
• 4/22/2008:  W&L Continues to Raise Funds for Wilson Field Renovations
  Through the efforts of former Washington and Lee athletes, nearly $700,000 has been raised since February 1 to meet the "Rise to the Challenge" campaign for the final funding of the Wilson Field renovation project. The alumni Generals are fast-approaching the Challenge goal of $1.5 million.
• 2/4/2008:  D3Kicks.com Honors Generals' Soccer Players
  D3Kicks.com recently announced its 2007 All-America and All-Region selections and members of the Washington and Lee men's and women's soccer teams were among the honorees.
• 12/28/2007:  Five W&L Soccer Players Earn All-Region Recognition
  The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/adidas All-Region men's and women's soccer teams were announced recently and Washington and Lee had three men and two women named to the All-South teams.
• 12/18/2007:  W&L Claims a Pair of Soccer All-Americans
  The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) recently released its Men’s and Women’s Division III All-America Teams and Washington and Lee University had one player named to each team.
• 12/13/2007:  Four Generals Named to VaSID All-State Men's Soccer Team
  Four members of the Washington and Lee men's soccer team were selected to the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) College Division All-State team, which was announced on Wednesday.
