Washington and Lee has established itself as one of the top volleyball programs in Division III over the past decade. During that time, the Generals have won better than 80 percent of their matches, claimed nine Old Dominion Athletic Conference Championships and advanced to the NCAA Tournament seven times. W&L has won each of the past six conference titles and carries a 62-match regular-season conference winning streak into the 2007 season. The Generals completed the 2006 season with a 29-8 overall record and advanced to the NCAA Tournament "Sweet 16".

  The second-seeded Washington and Lee volleyball team continued on its unbeaten path of 23-consecutive wins after a 30-19, 30-17, 30-12 triumph over seventh-seeded Emory and Henry in the quarterfinals of the 2007 ODAC Volleyball Tournament on Friday evening at Hollins University.

• 4/22/2008:  A Total Of 178 W&L Students Earn Scholar-Athlete Awards
  Washington and Lee Director of Athletics Jan Hathorn has announced that 178 students earned Scholar-Athlete awards during the recently completed winter term. The students are all members of W&L athletic teams and achieved a grade-point average (GPA) of at least 3.500.
• 1/25/2008:  Two Generals Named to VaSID All-State Volleyball Squad
  The Virginia Sports Information Directors Association (VaSID) recently released its 2007 college division all-state volleyball team and the Generals had two players honored.
• 11/13/2007:  W&L's Phillips Earns All-America Volleyball Honors
  The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) released its 2007 Division III All-America volleyball teams and Washington and Lee sophomore outside hitter Rachael Phillips (Tampa, Fla./Tampa Prep) earned Honorable Mention accolades.
• 11/9/2007:  W&L's Phillips Earns All-Region Volleyball Honors
  The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced its all-region squads recently and sophomore outside hitter Rachael Phillips (Tampa, Fla./Tampa Prep) was selection to the South Region team.
• 11/5/2007:  Four Generals Named to All-ODAC Volleyball Squad
  The Old Dominion Athletic Conference released its 2007 all-conference volleyball team on Monday and the Generals had four players honored.
• 11/5/2007:  NCAA Division III Volleyball Bracket Announced
  The NCAA Division III Women’s Volleyball Committee announced the field of 61 teams for the 2007 NCAA Division III Women’s Volleyball Championship on Monday.
