In the college search process you will be presented with many questions. What are the characteristics that I must have in my ideal college? How much can my family afford when sending me to college? What major will I pursue? Will I play athletics? How big a school do I want? In what part of the country am I most interested? The list seems endless.
The information in the next few pages is provided to aid you in answering a few of the many questions with which you will be presented. You will find information about the intangible benefits of attending W&L, the town of Lexington, the Honor System and the Speaking Tradition, just to name a few. However, while our efforts have been great in detailing those things that set this place apart, rest assured that this list is by no means comprehensive.
To get the real feel for W&L, we as a staff and, indeed, the University as a whole, invite you to campus. When you are here we will make every effort to acquaint you with the W&L we know- that which has produced great leaders, thinkers, scientists and artists. More than that, though, you will find a University that still values civility and character, but above all, individuals that will contribute to a global community of honor and compassion.
