
BRIDGEWATER, Va.—The Washington and Lee Riding team competed in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference championship and tied for third on Friday at Bridgewater College. Freshman Allison Lemon (Roanoke, Va./North Cross School) was tabbed to the all tournament team and garnered Rookie of the Year honors.

HARRISONBURG, Va. -- The W&L Riding team placed eighth out of 10 teams at the Bridgewater IHSA Invitational held in Weyers Cave, Va., on Saturday afternoon.
The Generals were led by junior Hila Yashar (Victoria, B.C./Lester B. Pearson), who took home the blue ribbon in the Walk-Trot event. Freshman Allison Lemon (Roanoke, Va./North Cross School) was the runner-up in the Intermediate Fences, while classmate Allie Fitter (The Plains, Va./Foxcroft School) was runner-up in the Intermediate Flat.
W&L will now break for the winter before returning to action on Feb. 8 at the Randolph/Lynchburg Invitational.
