There is no one better equipped to acquaint you with a General’s day to day life than a current student. Thus, all of our tours- regardless of the time of year you visit- will be led by current students. While you wander down the Colonnade or gaze at the longest, non-suspension concrete footbridge in the United States (really!), feel free to ask any questions of your guide, no matter how trivial they may seem.
The ideal time to visit is when students are on campus. However, we recognize that travel during the academic year is difficult for many students. Please feel free to plan your trip to Lexington at the time most convenient for your family. We offer tours Monday-Friday and most Saturdays WHEN STUDENTS ARE ON CAMPUS. Please contact the Admissions Office to confirm availability or consult the W&L Master Calendar. We look forward to welcoming you to W&L!

Please plan on arriving at the Gilliam Admissions House ten minutes before the tour leaves. Our tour guides are current students and must leave promptly at the scheduled time. Reservations are not required but, again, please call or check online to confirm availability for the date on which you plan to visit.
