Washington and Lee University
If you want to learn more about Washington and Lee, we recommend that you join us for one of our Group Information Sessions. We invite you to actively participate by asking questions or to simply sit and soak up the information. Either way, rest assured that all aspects of the University will be touched on during the hour or so that you will spend with us.
Information Sessions are usually followed by an hour long tour, though, if your schedule does not permit this, feel free to follow any tour at any time throughout the day. Please also note that, while Information Sessions may be offered during University holidays and exam periods, student-led tours will be unavailable. We do ask that you make a reservation to attend a Group Information Session and refer to the University’s Master Calendar to view holidays, exam periods, etc. Saturday Group Information Sessions are not offered during the months of June, July and August.
Starting in May of your junior year, you should consider requesting an interview when making your Group Information Session reservation. While not required, an interview is strongly recommended. It is also a great way to get your questions answered one-on-one with an Admissions official and to allow your interviewer to get to know you a little better than they otherwise might on paper. If you cannot schedule an interview while you are on campus, do not worry. Our Alumni Admissions Program covers approximately 90 cities nationwide and an alumni interview is considered as valuable as an on campus interview.
