Visiting Professor of English Receives Raves for One-Act Play

The one-act play of Chris Gavaler, a visiting assistant professor in the English department at Washington and Lee University, premiered Sept. 6-9 at the 17th annual Pittsburgh New Works Festival. "The Chris and Alex Show," opened to positive reviews and the founder of the Festival commenting that it was one of the best plays in the Festival's history.

The Pittsburgh New Works Festival's 17th season features 21 new one-act plays by playwrights from 11 states including Washington, Texas, the Carolinas, Tennessee, Georgia, New York, California and Virginia plus eleven local playwrights.
