Subject: Religious Holidays
Students on our campus this academic year associate with a variety of religious traditions, including Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Jewish, and Muslim. We should do all we can to allow our students to celebrate their religious holidays appropriately. The catalog states the following university policy:
"The University recognizes the importance of religious holidays and encourages all faculty to make reasonable accommodations necessary for students’ observances. Students should provide faculty reasonable prior notice of religious holidays on which they will be absent."
