Lodging

Out-of-town guests are requested to make their own reservations. Parents of first-year students are urged to make hotel reservations as soon as possible. For additional information about Parents' Weekend, please contact Nellie Rice in the Office of Student Affairs at nrice@wlu.edu. For information about area hotels, visit http://www.lexingtonvirginia.com/.

Many parents take advantage of Habitat Hotel, a fund-raising effort by our student Habitat for Humanity Chapter which expects to raise approximately $5,000 this fall for the construction of a Habitat House in Lexington. Faculty and staff open their homes to families for the weekend and families make a donation to the local Habitat chapter in exchange. To make a reservation or ask a question about Habitat Hotel, contact Taylor Williams at williamsst@wlu.edu.

The University Marketplace hours of operation are:

Thursday and Friday:

• 7:15 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Saturday:

• Continental Breakfast: 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
• Lunch: 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
• Dinner: 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Lexington is full of great restaurants with gracious proprietors who enjoy meeting the families of our students.
