SALEM, Va. -- Washington and Lee senior safety Kyle Luby (Dallas, Texas/Highland Park) has been named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Defensive Football Player of the Week for his performance against Guilford College on Saturday afternoon.

Luby received the honor after posting 13 tackles, all solo stops, in a 24-13 victory at Guilford. Luby and the rest of the W&L defensive unit forced three turnovers and held the Quakers to better than 250 yards below their average offensive output for the season. This season, Luby leads the team with 55 tackles and four pass breakups.

A two-time All-ODAC selection, he claims 222 tackles, four sacks, four interceptions and 12 pass break-ups for his career.

Washington and Lee (4-2, 2-2) returns to action on Saturday as it hosts Bridgewater College (6-1, 2-1) for a 1:00 pm contest.
