Lexington, VA -- September 28, 2007 • Edwin "Mac" Crawford, chairman of the newly merged CVS/Caremark, and his son, Andrew D. The Lee Chapel and Museum Presents a Symposium on Robert E. Lee on Oct. 8

Lexington, VA -- September 27, 2007 • The Lee Chapel and Museum at Washington and Lee University presents "The Historical Legacy of Robert E. Lee," a special memorial program commemorating the 200th anniversary of his birth, on Monday, Oct. 8, at 10 a.m. in the Lee Chapel Auditorium. Lee was the president of W&L from 1865 to 1870.

Judge Joan Lefkow to Deliver 2007 Tucker Lecture on Oct. 5

Lefkow of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois will deliver the 2007 Tucker Lecture at the Washington and Lee University School of Law on Friday, October 5 beginning at 12:10 p.m. in the Millhiser Moot Court Room.

Law Students to Provide Legal Support in Trials of Khmer Rouge Leadership

Lexington, VA -- September 27, 2007 • The second highest ranking official in the Khmer Rouge regime was recently taken into custody to stand trial for atrocities that occurred during the bloody reign of that totalitarian regime, and soon the country of Cambodia, with the help of students from the Washington and Lee University School of Law, will begin the slow march to justice and reconciliation.

LeAnne Howe, Citizen of the Choctaw Nation, to Read from her New Novel

Lexington, VA -- September 24, 2007 • LeAnne Howe, a citizen of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, will be delivering a reading from her new novel Miko Kings: An Indian Baseball Story on Thursday, Sept. 27, at 7 p.m. in Newcomb Hall, room 9, at Washington and Lee University. W&L Mourns the Hon. H. Emory Widener ’53, Longest-serving Appeals Court Judge

Lexington, VA -- September 21, 2007 • The Honorable Hiram Emory Widener, Jr., 84, alumnus and adjunct faculty member at the School of Law, died at his home on Wednesday, September 19, 2007, at 11:10 a.m. He was born in Abingdon, Virginia on April 30, 1923. He had been the longest-serving active United States Court of Appeals judge in the nation.

Campus Kitchens Celebrates First Year of Service to Rockbridge Community
