The mission of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. is to cultivate and encourage high scholastic and ethical standards, promote unity and friendship among college women, maintain a progressive interest in college life, solve and alleviate problems as they pertain to women and girls, and to be of service to all mankind. Tau Omega ChapterDelta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is a sisterhood of black, college educated women committed to public service. Although Delta Sigma Theta is a historically black sorority, membership is open to all who are committed to the goals of the organization. The purpose of Delta is to provide assistance and support through established programs in local communities throughout the world.
