Stephanie Shank is in her first year as assistant director of the W&L Fitness Center. In this position, she is responsible for maintenance of the University's 11,000-square foot fitness center facility and development of wellness programs for the University community.

Shank is a graduate of Cedarville University, where she earned a bachelor of arts degree in exercise science with minors in health promotion and Bible. While there, she served as the vice-president of the Health and Fitness Association and was a recipient of the Cedarville Leadership Scholarship and the Alumni Exercise Science Scholarship.

A native of Roanoke, Va., Shank has served as a fitness instructor at the Botetourt Athletic Club since 2004 and was an aerobics instructor and assistant at Salem Wellness and Fitness from 2005-06. She was also an intern in the wellness center with the Pepsi Bottling Group in Somers, N.Y.

Shank is certified in CPR and AED by the American Heart Association, has certification in first aid and is certified in AFAA Group Exercise and Kickboxing.
