PINE MOUNTAIN, Ga. -- The Washington and Lee golf team finished tied for seventh out of 16 teams at the Callaway Collegiate Invitational held at the Callaway Gardens Golf Club in Pine Mountain, Ga., on Monday and Tuesday.
The Generals shot a 316-304--620 and were led by senior Nathaniel James (Keller, Texas/Keller), who shot a 76-76--152. Senior Steven Spivey (Martinsville, Va./Martinsville) carded a 79-75--154, while sophomore Matt Langan (Prospect, Ky./Trinity) shot an 80-75--155. Sophomore Joe Gibson (Atlanta, Ga./Westminster) fired an 83-78--161 and freshman Tim Gavrich (Avon, Conn./ Westminster) shot an 81-80--161.
W&L returns to action on March 21-22 as it competes in the Jekyll Island Intercollegiate in Jekyll Island, Ga.
