W&L Golf Resides in Sixth Place After Day Two of Jekyll Island Invitational



JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. -- The Washington and Lee golf team currently resides in sixth place out of 26 teams following the second round at the three-day Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational held in Jekyll Island, Ga.

The Generals have a two-day score of 300-301--601 and trail team leader Methodist by 21 strokes.  The Monarchs are at 580 and are followed by Oglethorpe (592), LaGrange (594), Huntingdon (596), Illinois Wesleyan (600), W&L (601), Emory (605) and Averett (607).

Individually, senior Nathaniel James (Keller, Texas/Keller) is in second place with a score of 70-71--141.  Other W&L individual scores were unavailable.

Final round action continues on Sunday from Jeykll Island, Ga.
