CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. -- The Washington and Lee golf team finished in a tie for 11th place out of 32 teams at the Marine Federal Credit Union Intercollegiate held at the Paradise Point Golf Course in Camp Lejeune, N.C.
The Generals shot a 283-304-320--907 and finished 48 strokes behind team champion Methodist, who carded a 289-265-305--859. The Monarchs were followed by Barry (883), Oglethorpe (889), Savannah College of Art & Design (889), Ohio Wesleyan (890), Fayetteville State (892), Guilford (311), Shorter (312), Webber International (312), Thomas (901), Bridgewater (907) and W&L (907).
Individually, the Generals were led by senior Nathaniel James (Keller, Texas/Keller), who carded a 69-74-77--220 to finish in a tie for 11th place.
The Generals return to action on Mon., Apr. 14 as they host the Buck Leslie Invitational.
