Each year, the Annual Fund awards trophies to recognize class giving. Class rankings as of June 30 determine the winners, with the exception of the trophies for reunion classes (John Newton Thomas Trophy, Colonnade Cup and Trident Trophy) which have a Reunion Weekend deadline. The trophies are displayed in the Alumni House.
Exceptional Class ParticipationThis trophy is awarded to the reunion class with the highest percentage of members participating in the Annual Fund. The 2006-07 winner, announced during reunion weekend in May, is the class of 1967, led by reunion co-chairs Bob Priddy and Mac Holladay. Their class participation rate is 59.28%.
Outstanding Increase in SupportAwarded to the reunion class with the largest percent increase in Annual Fund commitments over last year. This year's winner, announced during reunion weekend in May, is the Class of 1977, led by Reunion Chair Jimmy Brooks. Their percentage increase is an amazing 223%!
Honoring Outstanding Support from Law ClassesAwarded annually to the law class graduating in the last 50 years that contributes the greatest amount of support to the University that year.
Execptional Class Participation Among Recent Graduating ClassesAwarded to the undergraduate class graduating in the last 10 years (except the most recent class) that achieves the highest participation percentage. The 2005-06 winner was the Class of 1996, with a participation rate of 47.79%!
Execptional Class ParticipationAwarded to the undergraduate class in the last 50 years that achieves the highest participation percentage. The 2005-06 winner was the Class of 1960, with a participation rate of 69.19%!
Outstanding SupportThis trophy is awarded to the undergraduate class in the last 50 years that raises the largest amount of money. The 2005-06 winner was the Class of 1969!
Outstanding Class GiftAwarded to the reunion class with the largest class gift (including Annual Fund commitments and future pledges (five years) to the Annual Fund.) The 2006-07 winner, announced during reunion weekend, is the Class of 1977, led by reunion chair Jimmy Brooks. Their class gift was $464,423.
Honoring Exceptional Class Participation from Law ClassesAwarded to the law class graduating in the last 50 years (except for the most recent class) that achieves the highest participation percentage. The 2005-06 winners were the Class of 1958L with an amazing 89.47%!
