Periodically current students of the University will have special opportunities to apply to help with current projects in the Admissions Office. Check back as often as you like to stay-up-to date on current campaigns.

  • The Student Admissions Advisory Committee
    • Have you ever wanted to be a blogger? Help out the Admissions Office? Recruit newbies to come to W&L? Answer questions from incoming freshmen? And, get free iTunes credits?

      The Student Admissions Advisory Board is a group of five students that assists the Admissions Office in the recruitment process by making the student experience come alive over the internet. This group will meet on a bi-weekly basis to discuss and implement new recruitment initiatives. The SAAB is a new concept for the W&L campus, and will develop student blogs, message boards, online chats and other unique forms of marketing. Throughout the year the SAAB will continue to write our blogs, as well as contributing to additional related projects including podcasts, video blogging and chat moderation. The students chosen for the SAAB are often involved in other aspects of admission including tours and overnight visits, but the SAAB is a separate entity that focuses on the online marketing of Washington and Lee.       Members of the SAAB contribute the content to these projects and essentially become an important student face/ voice of W&L to prospective students and applicants. The time commitment for members will be extensive, ranging from 3-5 hours per week depending on the time of year and ongoing initiatives.

      Becoming a member of the Student Admissions Advisory Board is a highly selective process. It includes the application below as well as an interview with the Admissions Advisor. We’re looking for students with fun personalities who want to share their experiences at W&L with the rest of the world.
